I qualified as a Dress and Design teacher and taught in Glasgow for several years before moving to the Highlands in 1982 (when my husband took up a teaching post in the area).
Leaving my job behind, gave me the opportunity to set up a small clothing business specializing in made-to-measure outdoor clothing. After 18 years of growing success I felt it was time for a change, so I sold the business for yet another new venture.
Cadadh (pronounced ka-du) was established in 2001. Initially I created bespoke dolls and teddy bears in tweeds and tartans. These are sold on my sister site www.cadadh.co.uk
The last 4 years have been spent developing my Harris Tweed handbags and accessory collection.
I now sell my bags and accessories worldwide. I have outlets throughout the UK as well as Italy, Germany and Japan.
I create all my designs in my studio in Poolewe, and if you would like to visit, please contact me beforehand and I will be delighted to meet you and show you around.
